Erythritol is a natural sweetener with a negligible glycemic index, which means that it does not cause immediate changes in blood glucose and insulin levels—parameters related to diabetes and glucose tolerance.
It is suitable for use in sweet preparations as a substitute for sugar (please note that erythritol has about 60-70% of the sweetness of sugar, so it is recommended to use a slightly higher amount in your recipes if needed).
Unlike other natural sweeteners, it has virtually no aftertaste.
